Wave 3: Address Deadline, Fulfilment Hubs & Shipping Times

Hi Unkindled,

We’ve got just a small update today to discuss updating your shipping address. Now that we’re so close to fulfilment, we have a deadline for when we need your updated addresses. That date is August 30th, so just under two weeks away.

Address Deadline

We’ve heard your feedback about enforcing address changes. We want to be clear here that while it is imperative that addresses are as up-to-date as possible, we aren’t seeking to punish anyone for missing an update. Our goal is to ensure that we are able to provide everyone with their rewards.

How it works is that if you don’t update your address by August 30th, we won’t be able to get your details to our fulfilment partners in time and that means your rewards might get shipped out to an incorrect address. We can’t replace orders that have shipped out to incorrect addresses; if they get returned we can certainly attempt to ship them to the correct address, but if they’re shipped to the wrong address and not returned, we’re afraid we can’t replace them because they were shipped to the most up-to-date address we had at the time.

We really want to stress the importance of having your address correct and up-to-date on our end. To update it, all you need to do is submit a ticket via our SFG Support Hub and we’ll make sure everything’s up to date. If you’re not sure if your address is correct, there’s no harm in submitting a ticket so our Support Team can check.

Fulfilment Hubs

We’re so close to getting Dark Souls Wave 3 to everyone that we have estimated fulfilment times for everyone, so you can get a rough idea of when to expect your rewards, but before we give you that info we wanted to clarify which countries are being fulfilled by which hubs, so you know where your rewards are coming from!

• Fulfilment to Asia will be handled by VFI

(China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Macao, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam)

• Fulfilment to Australia and New Zealand will be handled by Aetherworks
• Fulfilment to Canada will be handled by Snakes & Lattes
• Fulfilment to United Kingdom, EU and Rest of World (RoW) will be handled by 3P Logistics

• Fulfilment to the USA will be handled by Quartermaster Logistics 

Shipping Times

We’ll have some more solid info with dates and time frames in our next update, but we didn’t want to leave you with nothing, so here’s a rough guide of when you can expect your rewards to arrive at their hubs and when fulfilment is expected to be complete.

Please note that “fulfilment complete” means that the hub has shipped out all the rewards, but not necessarily when they’ll get to you. Please also keep in mind that these are our best estimates based on the information we currently have but if anything changes, we’ll let you know.

Asia (VFI)

• Rewards arrive at hub in early September
• Fulfilment complete by the end of September

Australia and New Zealand

• Rewards arrive at hub by the end of September
• Fulfilment complete in early October

Canada (Snakes & Lattes)

• Rewards arrive at hub in early October.
• Fulfilment complete by the end of October.

UK, EU and RoW (3PL Logistics)

• Rewards arrive at hub in early October
• Fulfilment complete by the end of October

USA (Quartermaster Logistics)

• Rewards arrive at hub by the end of October
• Fulfilment complete by the end of November
   

We can’t wait for everyone to receive their Wave 3 rewards, and we want to make sure everyone gets them. To repeat, the final cut-off date to update your address to receive your Dark Souls Wave 3 rewards is Friday August 30th.

Wave 3 Mass Production Well Underway

Hi Unkindled!

GOOD NEWS! We sent our Project Manager to our partner factory in China to ensure that mass production miniatures and components are the same quality as the final production samples we received in the last update. We’re still on target to begin delivery to backers in Q4 2019. 

He took a lot of photos, some better than others, he’s not a photographer bless him, so let’s get on with it!

Wow! Lots to digest there as production is in full swing. The factory also showed us the moulds used to create the core game for Dark Souls™: The Board Game - can you figure out which miniatures came from these?

Finally, we have this short video to show you the process of creating every single token sheet that goes into the tens of thousands of games we’re making!

GOOD NEWS! The Wave Three final production samples have arrived at Steamforged Games HQ and have passed their Quality Control checks! We’re still on target to begin delivery to backers in Q4 2019. We’ve got a LOT to show you so let’s not waste time here, let’s get into it!

Wave 3 Progress Update 5

Hi Unkindled,

Before we jump into the progress with Wave 3 and Wave 4, we want to quickly reiterate the importance of making sure your address is up to date. We’ve seen a few comments from backers whom have been unable to update their address due to issues with BackerKit; if this is the case please submit an enquiry request by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.

All addresses must have been resubmitted by Wednesday, June 5th. Failure to do so will result in backers not receiving their rewards. 

Update on Wave 3

In an earlier Wave 3 Progress Update we mentioned we were awaiting the final samples for Wave 3 contents, the main hold up with these being Chinese New Year which has now been and gone. We were expecting to have these final samples shortly after Chinese New Year finished but are yet to receive them from our manufacturing partner. We’ve been assured these samples are on their way and that we should expect to receive them within the next few weeks. Once they arrive we’ll be sure to put up an update featuring photos of them!

Update on Wave 4

All of the artwork and graphic assets for the Last Giant have now been sent over to our manufacturing partner. They’ve then taken the assets to ensure everything is setup up correctly to match the machinery, which will print the various paper and card components, and make any adjustments required.

We’ve received the assets back from our manufacturing partner with the adjustments they were required to make and SFG have now approved these amendments.

The artwork and graphic assets for Manus and The Executioners Chariot are currently still with Bandai Namco for approval, once approved they’ll be sent over to our manufacturing partner just as the files for the Last Giant have been.

Thank you to everyone that has resubmitted their address, we’re aware there was an issue with BackerKit where it had locked out the option to edit address which has now been amended. If you’d run into this issue you should be able to edit your address now. If you have any issues with updating your address please submit an enquiry request by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.

All addresses must have been resubmitted by Wednesday June 5th. Failure to do so will result in backers not receiving their rewards.

Update on Wave 3

Since our last breakdown of where each part of the project was at we’ve been focusing our updates on address resubmissions, but that doesn’t mean our project managers stopped pushing things forward to get your content out to you toward the tail end of the year.

All the artwork for Wave 3 content is now with our manufacturing partner, so we’re just awaiting the final samples to be completed and sent over to SFG HQ for quality assurance checks. We don’t currently have an eta on when those samples are expected to arrive, but once they do, we’ll be sure to let you know and provide some images of what it all looks like!

While we’re awaiting these samples, work continues collecting and collating all the assets for the Wave 4 content, to get those all to the same point as the Wave 3 content so it’s ready for when our production partners need it.
